Itty Bitty Knitted Gnomes!

First of all, thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful birthday weekend!
(And thank YOU, Hubs, for your sweet birthday post!)

Anyway. Just had to share -- and make you super jealous!
I got these cuties on Whoopdwhoop from user Shona last week, and I absolutely adore them! Technically they belong to my kiddos, but... I can't help but play with them and pretend they are MINE! :o) They are just too adorable!

Look how little! I don't know how she does it!
Thanks so much, Shona -- we are so completely charmed by these little guys!

LOVES in the mail!

A little while back when I posted my US Map Quilt, one of the commenters, Hilde, mentioned she would like a world map panel and wondered if it was to be found. I happened to have one in my stash -- and there it had been sitting for at least a couple years. It wasn't doing anyone any good just sitting around all folded up, so I mailed it to her!

Well guess what! Today I found a little package from Hilde of Tantehilde in my mailbox -- with these gorgeous little cuts of fabric:

I love ALL of them, but I must confess -- the little birdies (top row, second fabric) and the green with apples are my favorites! And that fabric on the bottom right matches JellyBean's bedroom (as yet I have still not quite finished decorating in there...) -- I must incorporate that fabric in some little pillows to go on her "big girl" bed!

THANK YOU, Hilde! You've made my day that much brighter! :o)

Oh, and you MUST check out Hilde's dolls -- each one is different. I just LOVE all their little clothes!!

More LOVES in the mail!

During Sew, Mama, Sew's giveaway week I discovered so many fun blogs, including a very fun one called Noodlehead. After looking over all the fun projects, I decided I needed to become a follower. Lo and behold, I was number 100!! Later the talented Anna (the brains behind the operation!) contacted me about sending me somthing for being number 100. Today I received a fun little package from her in the mail!

A super cute pocket tissue cover, a sweet flower pin, some covered-button ponytail holders, and two of her FABULOUS pencil pouches. LOVE!! (My boys have already snatched them up and filled them with pencils and other treasures!)

Jealous? Have no fear! She has a tutorial for the pencil pouches!

THANKS, ANNA!

LOVES in the Mail!!

I've received some unexpected LOVES in the mail in the past few weeks, and just HAD to share!!

First up:
The cutest lil' felt ninja you will ever see! My bloggy friend Karen from UrbanCraft -- who is an absolute CRACKUP -- made and sent him to me! I originally saw a trio of these guys at The Toy Society, and immediately fell in love. Months later I came across Karen's blog, and -- lo and behold -- she is the genius crafter behind them! Anyway, long story short, she knew I loved them and made me one to cheer me up after a sewing disaster!
THANKS, KAREN!!

Next:
The cutest little rock mouse family! My friend Andrea, who I have known for ~Y~E~A~R~S~, painted this sweet little family of mice for my boys, who are obsessed with baby mice. Aren't they just the cutest?? There has been endless fun at my house with these guys. The boys, like me, love all things tiny. They've got a collection of very small things that they and the mice play with. It's so fun to listen in!
THANKS, ANDREA!!

And last, but not least:
I actually won a giveaway (!!!!) during Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day!! Isn't this bag/purse just amazing? It was handcrafted by Sarah of SimplySarah. Just looking at all the stitching and details, it's plain to see that she is a skilled sewist. I am in LOVE with the bright orangey-yellow lining. And check the dangly beady fringe at the bottom!
THANKS, SARAH!!
