This is me.

So... Wanna know a little bit about me?

I know, I am very "quiet" when it comes to talking about ME -- but I have been faithfully posting my projects on this blog for an Official Two Years now! I suppose maybe it's high time you got to know just a little bit about me?

Here are a few little-known (and very random) facts about yours truly:

I dance in my kitchen, but never in front of my husband. I am sure my neighbors have seen some very, er, INTERESTING moves through the french doors/bay window in my kitchen. If they have, I certainly hope they will never tell me so to my face. I'd rather dance obliviously!

I cannot sleep with my hair touching my neck or face. I also can't sleep with it pulled into a ponytail or braid of any kind. I sort of sweep it up over the top of my pillow and out of the way.

I hate seafood.

When I was a little girl, I wished my name was Nancy. Why Nancy? I have no idea! I didn't even know anyone named Nancy!

I still play with dolls. Wait -- you already knew that! :o) Ha ha!

My new, most recent favorite album is Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, by the band Phoenix. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. Lately it is my "cleaning music" -- and the kids know exactly what's happening when I turn it on and crank it up. They start helping me pick things up!

I cannot STAND to smell like food.

I've never gotten a speeding ticket -- or any ticket for that matter. And I've only ever been pulled over once.

I don't do dishes without my Gloves of Power --> rubber gloves. My current pair is purple. If we go to the cabin, the gloves travel with me. I do not do dishes without my Gloves of Power! :o)

My socks never match -- and I mean NEVER. At least, they haven't in 15 years! Unless nylons count....

There you are. Ten random facts.
The End

Hi! Great intro. I've only been following about two weeks and I'm still going through all your old archived stuff. LOVE IT! Your truly an inspiration thank you for blogging it all.

that is a gorgeous picture....just the other day i was dancing in the kitchen with my littlest and wondering if my neighbors could see in....they probably thought i was crazy!!!

What a great picture of you! I like being able to put a face with a blog. :) I love seeing all your projects, thanks for sharing!!

I'm with you on the hair thing. Once I get comfy in bed, I spend at least a minute trying to sweep all the hair off my face and neck. In fact, since I've been trying to grow my hair out, I hate it on my face and neck all the time, so it's always in a ponytail! :)

Nice to meet you! I've been reading, enjoying & learning from your blog for a while now & don't remember seeing your pic on it before. It's nice to put a face to the writing.

I love that you won't let your husband see you dance! Mine is not allowed to witness that with me either :)
This goes along with your "Smell like food" and "Gloves of Power" but it's funny to watch you put on your plastic baggie over hands when cutting onions thing.
Have a happy-pinkie-Valentine's Day!

My husband thinks I'm crazy with the whole no-hair-touching-me-while-I-sleep thing. I'm glad to know I'm not alone! :) (And it's NOT crazy. It's comfortable!)

You're so beautiful! I'm so happy to finally get to see the face behind such an amazing blog :)

I hate seafood too, and I won't eat at certain restaurants because I know I will smell like them when I leave. Gross!

Thanks for sharing this post with us :)

you are so pretty! and your facts were awesome. I once tried to come up with 10 things that didn't revolve around being a mom and that sucks.

I'm so glad you don't match your socks either! I started matching mine only a couple months ago when I had to be "professional," but I try not to match on saturdays, just because I can! :)

You dance in the kitchen? Nancy? I've always liked the song "dancing nancies" by Dave Mathews. Happy Valentines Day wifey, love you.

I've been reading your blog for a while now and I was feeling a bit like I knew you. Now it seems more legit. Your list makes sense to me... especially the current fave album!!

Thanks for sharing. I do the exact same thing with my hair, and my husband once caught me dancing to loud music, and when I realized he was in the room, I dove behind a closet feeling very embarrassed:) I didn't know about Phoenix, but I just looked them up and I quite like them.
Oh, and then I always buy only black socks so I won't have to match them (boring, I know).
Nice to know I am not alone with my eccentricities:)

I'm kind of a lurker here as I'm a book blogger rather than a quilting blogger (though I some quilting--LOVED your disappearing nine-patch series last year and it gave me courage to finish my own project). It's always nice to meet the face behind the blog. ;)

Nice to get to "know" you a little. I always sing at the top of lungs when on the treadmill, unless I am really running. Neighbor heard me once and told me so, I asked if it sounded terrible, he said not at all. So you may be entertaining your neighbors, just saying you never know! LOL ;0)

:o) Thanks so much for your sweet comments, everyone! It's probably ridiculous -- but I was so stressed out about sharing myself with internetland!
