I've been working on my sewing room. There has been much progress, but I'm not ready to show the entire room yet. Still more to do!
I did reorganize the fabric in my closet, and wanted to share! Years ago my brilliant (and handsome and kind!) husband came up with this idea for my fabric organization. It's a big wire rack typically used at restaurants or foodservice-type places. He found it at Sam's Club and knew exactly what it would be perfect for -- and he was so right! The individual bins are just right for organizing my fabrics by color. There are twice as many bins and shelves as what I am showing in the picture, but these are the bins of fabric I've refolded and reorganized so far.
I love this organization system!!
It's easy to see the colors, and I can pull out each bin and paw through the fabrics to make my selections. It really is perfect for fabric hoarders such as myself!
One other small sneak peek -- the safari wallpaper is gone, and I have finally modpodged together this little collage of ME! And it's even HANGING UP!

This is just what I am currently working on as well. I haven't spent much time organizing my sewing room for over 10 years (and it shows)! Your bin system is fabulous. What a smart husband.

Oh I do like your storage system and your fabric's look so nice and neat! Very fun collage on nice freshly painted walls. Do share again how you store your I-Spy squares, I am almost finished cutting mine out and am thinking about how I should store them until the next swap. Have a wonderful weekend!

All of that fabric is like eye candy for me! When I saw that collage my jaw dropped! I cannot believe that you made that!!!! FANTASTIC! I am super impressed and I know that I can always come here for some inspiration.

Cathy, the bins came with the shelves! I LOVE them! I think the whole deal is still available at Sam's Club.
Love the way you organize your fabric. At some point I will have to come up with another plan for mine ... but so far there is no room for it.
I'm definitely jealous of your stash. Not only because you have so much pretty fabric, but because it's SO organized. I just finished re-folding my stash, which is considerably smaller than yours but still took a while. My 19 month old emptied the cardboard box all over my sewing room while I tried to actually get some sewing done.
