T-Shirt to Baby Leggings

JellyBean is in serious need of pants. One of my favorite pairs of pants she wears are really more like leggings, and are fabulous under little sundresses or babydoll tops. Two problems: 1) They are black, so they don't go with everything, and 2) She really can't wear them daily. So, it was time to make some more!

Here's the Dollar Store $1 women's size S T-Shirt I bought to give it a try.

I made a pattern by tracing around those favorite leggings. They have side seams, so the pattern requires a total of four pieces. I cut them out, remembering to leave seam allowances, and utilizing the T-shirt hem as the hem of the leggings.

Here they are with another little babydoll top I threw together. In all, the two articles of clothing took about 30 minutes to make; perfect for someone who only has about that much time to create something!

Practically-Instant Sewing Gratification! She looks adorable!

I've got to go raid the closet and find some more T-shirts to cut up..........!!
