The weather teased us with a few really great sunny days in a row, but now we're back to cold cold cold. The kids have gotten very creative in their play, and most games this week have included a lot of mommy playing too. It's been great fun! I have been working on a few little projects here and there, though -- mostly dolly clothes! :o)
First of all -- this is my new girl! I adore her! This is my second attempt at this dress pattern with just a few adjustments from the original. I just adore the style, and can't wait to stitch up a few more with some fabrics I've purchased specifically for this pattern.
Here's new girl (no name yet) and Meredith getting to know each other. Meredith is wearing the MOST ADORABLE little hand knitted sweater I purchased on etsy. There are lots more colors, and I will definitely be ordering at a couple more. (Check out Louisa's shop HERE!)
Telling secrets already! I've also been sewing for my tiny girls. I made a big batch of spring tops for them (birdies and bees!), and had just enough time to get a photo of them enjoying the sunshine before it SNOWED the next day! I made two of these little A-line shifts, too -- I adore the little geese! And, last but not least, my pathetically late posting of St. Patrick's Day outfits for the girls:
I feel inspired just looking at your projects. I have a ridiculous amount of fun sewing my projects and photographing them too! I like the way you put that! :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Plushpussycat, your projects are always fantastic and I love dolls clothes
ReplyDeleteHow do you sew these tiny clothes? Do you do it all by hand? I can't imagine any other way. Meredith's Shamrock dress is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHOLY COW!!! I love your obsession. It makes me smile every time I see your new creations for these girls. :)
ReplyDeletemy gosh! adorable...love it all!
ReplyDeleteSeriously Care, these are just the cutest little outfits :) I too am curious as to how you sew these teeny tiny little outfits on a sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteHey Care,
ReplyDeleteIt was you I was thinking about when we went to the quilt show. I knew you would have loved it. So we tried to appreciate it in your behalf!! I love your angry birds by the way....LOVE them.
WOW. my Blythe doll is deprived.. I have not sewn her any outfits.yours look so nicely dressed.
ReplyDeleteI afraid to ask, but where does one get a Blythe doll. When my brother was in China, I asked him to go to a store that sold them and they were $$$.
ReplyDeleteHey! I just found your blog today! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you sew for your dolls! I used to sew for my Momoko dolls. But now I am sewing for my little girl. Do drop by my blog someday to see my handmade clothes for my dollies sometime!
