Swap Your Creations!

My cousin Mckay and her husband have come up with a BRILLIANT idea:
A website where you can swap your creations -- with no currency involved!
It's a brand new site, and a solid concept. Here she is to tell you about it!

Hello, Obsessive Stitchers! I am so excited that Care is letting me visit you all today and tell you about a new website that my husband and I have created.

Our vision was to create a community where artisans (that's you!) could share their talents, creativities and creations with others not through money, but through swapping. We wanted a place where people could list their handiwork (photography, paper crafts, jewelry, art, sewn items, basically anything that they have handmade) and then swap them for others' handmade items- completely eliminating the need for money.

It was this idea that sparked the life of whoopdwhoop.com. Whoopdwhoop is a unique, currency-free marketplace where individuals can both list their creative endeavors and 'shop' for others' creative endeavors -- all without the use of money. Points (whoops) are earned by both listing and swapping your handiwork. You can then take the whoops that you have earned and 'shop' within the whoopdwhoop community. It's the perfect way to partake in some retail therapy and not feel guilty! It's free, it's easy, and it's fun.

Because whoopdwhoop is a brand new community, we are still working hard to add creations to the site; So today (January 28th!) we are offering Obsessive Stitchers an extra .1 whoop for every item listed (so instead of earning .1 whoop per item you list, you will earn .2 whoops per item listed). I hope that you will head on over and give it a try. Our hope is that in this economy where things can be tough, whoopdwhoop will allow people to share their talents, creativities, and creations with others -- all by simply swapping.

Thanks for having me, I hope to see you whoopin' it up over at whoopdwhoop.

Mckay Harris.

This is a very interesting and novel idea. Do I understand correctly, that you would only have to have one of an item to enter it as a swap? Like one baby quilt or one apron, then you save your swap points for a purchase later. Will try to think of something that I could get it today.

Hi guys, Mckay here. Betty Lou- you can certainly only list one item, but the more you list, the more likely you are to be chosen for a swap and receive whoops for your items.
On another note, by listing 5 items today you will earn 1 whoop and be set to start swapping.
Once again, thanks for having me over here!

Love the idea! And I noticed a familiar scarf right away. I think I'll give it a shot.

Angela- we'll be doing the double whoop incentive again. 'Like' whoopdwhoop on Facebook or follow us on twitter to be updated when it happens.
