Oooh it's so pretty! I love it! Thanks for the great idea, I'll be linking.
LOVE it...going to make one for our Turkey Table!!
I love you blog! I am now a follower! I was part of one of your fabric swaps and can not wait to do another. I now have a blog of my own! Come check it out!
I love this idea. Can you tell me exactly what variegated thread is used for? And what size needle did you use in your sewing machine? Thanks! I'll check back for your response.
What a wonderful idea.
That is amazing - quick, easy, inexpensive! I am so going to plagarize....
Hi Jenny,Variegated thread is multiple colors throughout the spool -- mine has a few inches yellow, then a few inches orange, then a few inches red, and so on. I happened to have it on hand, leftover from another project. I've also used it for the quilting on a quilt, for an interesting hem, etc. Mine is 100% rayon, although I admit I don't know if that is typical. I just used it for the garland because I thought it would be a fun look!I used a regular 80/12 needle, then set it aside to use for future paper sewing projects. I did increase my stitch length so I wouldn't perforate the paper too much and have it end up tearing too easily.Hope that helps!! :o)Care.
Thanks for the response, Care! I'm excited to try this.
Oh my goodness, this is SO SO SO cute! How could I miss this. Loving it! I do not have a leaf punch unfortunately ... but a big heart one, and a Christmas tree ... and a star ... Will come up with something! :-)
2 2 cute!
