Here's what I did: I had some Spray N Wash with Resolve on hand, and emptied what was left on the worst spots. I let it sit for a little while, then washed in cold water, leaving it to soak after the wash cycle. Then I rinsed three times, pulling it out and taking a look after each rinse. I couldn't see any problems, so I went ahead and dried it.
Amazing! I am so happy!!
...I would get a few more pictures, but right now EVERYONE is playing on it!
Thanks for all the product suggestions -- Next time I use fabric that seems to be supersaturated with color (namely RED, which I am afraid to use for an entire quilt backing), I will definitely find one of those products!

LOVE the quilt!! I am so glad you were able to fix it!
I love, love LOVE this quilt. I think I need to make a Halloweenie quilt. I am so glad you were able to fix it.
That's awesome! I would not have thought that the resolve would take care of it without more bleeding. Good idea to have on hand when that disaster strikes me - as I'm sure will happed sometime in the future! Although I did buy a big box of color catchers at Costco last year, so hopefully I won't have to be sad after a quilt wash. Oh - and that IS a super cute quilt - LOVE the backing, what fabric line is it?
Yay! Yay! Yay! I'm so glad it came out. All that hard work and such a beautiful quilt. My heart sank with yours when I read that it had bled. Have you heard that soaking in a heavy vineagar solution will set the dye and then it shouldn't bleed as much? I've used it on Levi's that I wanted to keep dark but I've never tried it on something like this. That would be the real test. Just wondering if anyone had tried that.
I got the backing fabric at JoAnn's. It's a 60" wide border print, so I am sure it was intended for tablecloth use or something like that. But it is 100% cotton and the perfect colors, so I went for it!
I am so glad you sorted it. I don't kno wif I would've been brave enough to try
Hooray!!! that's super exciting! Super cute!
I am so happy you were able to fix it. Your quilt is amazing and so fun.

This is the cutest quilt ever! Wish I knew how to quilt.
THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! Halloween is my birthday--I'm in love!
So happy for you and it looks great! I just wasted some time commenting on your old post and giving suggestions before I noticed it was 3 years old. So forgive me if it comes through, or else just use any advice for possible future mishaps with dye. (;
This is what happens if I haven't had enough coffee yet. Not yet awake!
Your quilt is so much fun and it looks like the babies think so too!
